DESCRIPTION
BITUFLASH
is a high quality, trowel grade waterproofing plastic cement,
formulated with select ductile asphalt cut with compatible pure
petroleum solvents and compounded with strong reinforcing fibers,
gelling agents, mineral stabilizers and special chemical additives.
USES
BITUFLASH
is ideal for all roof repairs, roof splits, cracks and holes. It is
excellent for repairing flashing, to seal sky lights, line gutters,
vent pipes, gravel guards and cracks in concrete. BITUFLASH is also
recommended for bonding protection boards to damp proof course,
providing an excellent flexible bond.
OUTSTANDING
FEATURES
BITUFLASH
exhibits high pliability and flexibility that are essential for the
normal structural movements.
It has excellent resistance to ultra violet light, heat, and the
strength necessary for the demanding stress areas of the roof as
well as the durability essential for the successful repair work.
It provides a flexible bond between protection board and damp proof
course, which is essential to protect damp proofing from movement of
protection boards during back filling and compact ion and during
structural movements or settlement.
INSTALLATION
APPLICATION
Remove all
dust, dirt, debris, and scaled crusted coating. Before applying
BITUFLASH on concrete, metal or dried roof surfaces, prime with
BITUPRIME.
Apply with trowel or putty knife. To patch holes or cracks, trowel
BITUFLASH to a thickness of 4mm and embed into it a non woven
polyester fabric reinforcement and then another layer of 4 mm
BITUFLASH.
A flexible bond is obtained by spot bonding protection boards to
damp proofing membranes.
